Your Favorite Patterns of 2019
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
How is it even 2020 already? Here we are at the end of a decade. It’s crazy, isn’t it? These last 10 years really flew by. It really seems like each year goes by a little faster.
But, it’s been a really good year, for me at least. Some could argue it’s been a terrible year, and yes, in some respects, 2019 wasn’t all roses and puppy dogs. But, we made it! And, a new year means a new beginning in so many aspects!
So, as we usher in the new year, the new DECADE, and make plans for how we’re going to do better in the future, it’s still important to look back and remember the barriers we’ve overcome and the growth we made this last year!
For me, my family has had quite a few ups and downs and new beginnings littered throughout the year. As I’ve mentioned (about 5 gazillion times), my husband and I made a huge move at the very beginning of 2019. Moving to Canada has been an experience, let me tell you. And, French Canada at that!
But, we’ve adapted, and moving has given me the opportunity to start the business of my DREAMS!
And, it’s mostly due to all of your wonderful support that I’ve been able to grow. Without all of you, my dreams would have been out of my reach. You’ve given me the ability to do what I love! So, to my readers, THANK YOU! You’ve made this year undoubtably better!
And, what have you guys loved this year? Well…
Your Top 5 Favorite Patterns of 2019
1. Tempest Lull Shawl
Tempest’s Lull is a beautiful and whimsical triangle shawl, great for all seasons! From the striping in the garter stitch base, to the gorgeous lace panel, it’s just what your wardrobe has been missing.
You all REALLY loved this shawl. I was awed by the amount of lovely comments I got on it. It’s definitely one of my favorite items, and has become a staple for my fall and winter wardrobe. I’ve even made 2 of them!
2. Stained Glass Festival Top
Inspired by the famous Rose Window of the Notre Dame cathedral, this festival top is fun and flirty while still providing a little peak-a-boo coverage for your tummy!
This was one of the first designs for the website, and you guys gave me so much support when it released! I guess everyone loves a beach top!
3. The Mia Scarf
The Mia Scarf is beautifully textured and structurally interesting. The reversible cables make either side of the scarf a visual delight.
Definitely a fan favorite! When I made it, I loved it, but I had no idea how much you all would too. Thank you for loving it as much as me!
4. Beach Bum Bouquet Bathing Suit Cover
Beach Bum Bouquet is a stylish bathing suit cover-up that can double as a great shirt over a tank top! Wear it at the beach to spice up your bathing suit, then throw it over a tank with some shorts to go out for dinner after!
I can see a trend, you all like summer time!
5. The Options Top
A gorgeous summer top made in linen and cotton yarn. The Options Top has OPTIONS from size to style. Great for a day out!
This was one of the first items I graded for multiple sizes. I made this available for sizes XS-XL, because I wanted to be size inclusive, and you guys loved it! And influenced me to be more size inclusive for all of my garments!
So, that was the favorites that all of you guys chose this year. Did your favorite make the list? If it didn’t, which was your favorite this year? I’d love to know!
And, the list wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t share MY favorite from 2019
My Favorite:
Hearts Desire Hat
An adorable hat with a heart motif made in 5 different sizes: toddler to adult large. Great for a mommy and me ensemble!
These hats were an absolute joy to make! You can really go crazy with color options and best of all, the style is really versatile for all genders and ages! I seriously made about 50000 of them and tried to give one to all my friends! Good times!
Thank you again for all of your support! Honestly, I couldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all of you!
