Hope everyone is having a lovely start to their winter! This year flew by, didn’t it? I feel like it was just summer, but here we are, less than a full month away from Christmas! It’s crazy!
And, if you’re anything like me, you’re behind on Christmas presents too. So, it’s good to have a nice new pattern to sink into to try to eliminate those last couple Christmas knits!
The Lovely Lattices Infinity scarf is knit in the round using a combination of texture and lace stitches to make a gorgeous infinity scarf that anyone would love to own. It starts with a 2 x 2 rib, then at the color change we have the lovely Eyelet lattice lace stitch, followed by a slightly modified open honeycomb stitch in the middle. Then, we repeat the Eyelet lattice and rib and BAM! you’re done! Sometimes simplicity is just as elegant as something completely complicated!
For my sample piece, I used Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Superwash Bulky (a favorite of mine) in colorways Marble Heather (grey) and Solstice Heather (a deep blue with purple undertones). I needed about 167 yards of each color, which turned out to be 2 skeins each.
However, this scarf would be lovely knit in a variety of different bulky weight 5 yarns. Some other yarns I suggest for this scarf would be Red Heart Comfort Bulky, Lion Brand Color Made Easy, Knit Picks Brava Bulky, Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, or Berroco Ultra Wool Chunky as they have similar weights and gauges. (I am not affiliated with any yarn distributers, I just like their yarns).
I hope you enjoy creating the Lovely Lattices Infinity scarf as much as I did!

Notes:
I used 2 colors to make my scarf, but a solid colored scarf or even 3 colored would look lovely as well.
Make sure that you don’t have your cast on edge twisted when you connect to knit in the round. Unless you want your scarf to twist to put the pattern on both sides. In that case, you need to make SURE that the cast on only twists ONCE, otherwise you’ll have a weird spinny mess on your hands.
